Annnnd here's the review I left on Department of Goods:

I got this in a size large (only size they had left) and was worried it would be too big on me. I'm 5'3", 147 lbs (MAN I HATE TO ADMIT THAT!!  Why can't I be 130 again?  I looooved being 130) with an hourglass shape. Some people mentioned it was tight around the hips, but on me, the large fit perfectly. A medium would have been too snug. I'm a 10 in jeans and a 34D cup if that helps in sizing.

I love all the pockets and extras on this jacket, and the fabric is really lovely. It doesn't have a TON of shape to it, but then again, that's not really the point. It's a lovely shade of medium grey. For the price, you really can't beat it! I highly suggest the large to girls with hips. The arms are a bit long on me, but then again... I have short arms.

The bottom of the jacket hit right at the bottom of my bum, so it should keep me nice and warm in the winter. The snow skirt fit nice and snug.

Here are some specifics not listed in the description:

-Snow skirt with snaps and Volcom's zipper system so you can attached it to a pair of Volcom pants (which I totally want now). Also has hooks.

- Pit vents

-Helmet-friendly hood that can be tightened around the face. Also has a bungee to tighten in the back

- Nice big handwarming pockets. On the inside of the pockets you will find bungees to tighten the bottom of the jacket.

- Hidden ID/Ski lift tag protector at the bottom left of jacket.

- Nice big pocket next to zipper that you can put your Ipod in. Has slit for earbuds.

- Inside torso pocket and hidden pocket under snow skirt

-Two-way zipper so you can unzip the bottom if it feels too snug

I love this jacket. I've been living in NorCal (Humboldt County, no snow) for the past three years and this is my first winter here in Jackson Hole. I was nervous about how cold it will get, but I am now confident if I wear some long underwear, a fleece, and this jacket, I should be fine! Looks great, feels great, amazing price.

I also got some delicious Burton fleece long underwear and a pair of socks for cross-country skiing.  All for $50 shipped!!  I'm amazed and in love with Department of Goods.  Seriously.

GIVEAWAY: Repost

This is the first giveaway that I've done on my blog, largely because I do not have a lot of readers.  This means your chances of winning are HIGH.  I have about 20 people stop by this blog every day, and many of them are regular readers.  So you should seriously enter, because your chances are GOOD.

Here's the deal:

I'm opening an Etsy shop this winter.  This is something I've wanted to do for the past couple of years, but just haven't had the motivation or follow-through to really accomplish such a thing.  I'm not going to go into all the things I'll be selling as of yet, because I am just getting started.  One of the first things I'll need is a NAME.  That's where you come in!

I'm looking for name ideas for my Etsy site.  So far I've thought up "Just Maybe Designs", as a play on my nickname, Jess(ica) May B or JessMayBe.  Bryan has thought of "Along the Wire" and we both thought up "Between the Trees" together.

My requests are the following:  the name does not allude to any religious belief (which means it can't include my last name, Lords) or political party.  It's not overly cutesy. That's it.

I'm just looking for ideas.  The winner will be chosen at random.  There's a potential there may be TWO winners; if I use your name (with your permission of course), or a close variation of it, you'll receive a prize as well!

The prize(s) is a handmade crocheted beanie, just in time for fall!  Here is a sample of the hats I make:

You can choose from the colors pictured, as well as a dark plum or navy blue.  The two available styles are as shown:  the cream is the more open-style Daphne and the raspberry and dark olive are my Josie style.

All you need to do to enter is leave a comment with a name suggestion.  You can enter as many times as you want.  Just make sure that you sign in with your email, or leave it in the body of your comment if you comment as anonymous.  This giveaway ends on the 11th at 8pm.  Winner will be announced the morning of the 12th and will be contacted by email.

Thanks in advance for the ideas!
